Monthly Favourites// December 2019

2019 goodbye, hello 2020. But before looking at any big picture or an all year retrospect I want to share the things I loved most this past month.

Homemade Granola.
I found this recipe for homemade Granola and I am loving it! I don't follow it to a T but it gives me a  great base to work from. I skip the sugar (which basically makes it not granola anymore I guess?) but keep the maple syrup. And the taste that comes from roasting it is just so delicious! A way better version of the ones you can buy in the shop.

Body Shop Body Butter and Lip Balm.
I don't know what it is about the smell of the Body Shop Totally Tangled Ginger body butter but it just makes me so happy! Bit weird maybe but I guess it reminds me of something and I just can't tell what exactly it is. Well, it sure makes this stuff my body care of choice. To be honest I don't moisturise my body regularly but when I train more often (= shower more) and it's winter I do get dry skin. And, smell aside, it is a great body butter as well ;).
Lip blam, on the other hand, is something I use all year round and this Shea Butter by The Body Shop is my favourite. It doesn't smell intense, a little goes a long way and it's quickly absorbed.

Baking.
I really got into baking recently. It turns out that it's such a soothing activity for me! And now, after not doing much (any) festive baking because of fight prep, I can finally go all out. I have two great patisserie books from which I learn and discovering this as a new hobby makes me genuinely happy.

Salomon Winter Tights (Elevate Warm).
I don't have to tell you why a proper pair of tights is an absolute winter essential. For most of my runs, I wear the Salomon Elevate Warm Tights and they work perfectly. They have a drawstring, a small back pocket (which I use for keys) and zippers on the ankle. And they are warm.
Obviously, winter tights are a little bit of an investment but I think it's worth it if you want to keep running outdoors during the colder season.
(I wear them in my last  what I wear running post).
