But for now, it's still running shoes and if you're interested here is what I wore running this morning.
A little disclaimer: Some pieces I had for a while and they might not be available anymore. The point of this post is to give you an idea about the gear I like and in which way I layer during the colder season.
Top Layer: Salomon Elevate Warm HZ Jacket.
Scarf: Buff.
All-year-round staple. This is a UTMB edition.
Gloves: Mammut Pro Glove.
These gloves are a new addition to my winter wardrobe and so far I am very satisfied. Usually, gloves are a bit big for me since I have small and skinny hands. I got these in the smallest size (EU Size 6) and they fit perfectly. They are fleece lined and have grippy rubber parts on the palm of the hands and the fingers (for the use of touch screens).
Base Layer: Salomon Elevate Move' On Long Sleeve.
A classic lightweight base layer which features thumb holes and does everything I want from it.
Tights: Salomon Elevate Warm Tights.
Another Salomon piece... I know. But their technical gear does work very well for me.
This is my go-to tights during the winter. They feel lightweight and relatively thin but I'm never cold when I wear them. I rotate with a pair of tights which is fleece lined but I prefer this one because they don't make me sweat and as a consequence - you guessed it - feeling cold from it.
They have a back pocket which fits keys and even my phone (I do have a small one though - iPhone 5s), a drawstring on the top and zippers up your ankle.
Shoes: Salomon Sense Ride.
You know how I feel about these shoes (find out here if you don't)... I picked this trusty pair because it was more frozen than muddy and the forest trails provide a good grip by themselves (it's not icy here).
And that's it. I hope you enjoyed.
Let me know what are your winter wardrobe staples!
