Banana Bread

I believe that nutrition is as important as the training itself, not only when it comes to running but sport in general.
I am always up for trying out new recipes to keep my diet diverse and interesting. And I absolutely want to share my favourites with you on this blog!

First up is banana bread because that's what I made today. I keep going back to stuff like this if I need a bit of a switch in my breakfast and snack routine. I hope you enjoy!

  • 200gr Flour (any kind works)
  • 3 Bananas (the riper the sweeter)
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 100gr Butter or Margarine
  • 60ml Milk (any kind works)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Some Nutmeg
  • Some Cinnamon
  • A lot of Nuts (best match: walnuts. But I just use many different ones.)
  • Flax and/or Chia seeds

Feel free to vary with the nuts, spices, and seeds (in kind and amount). If you feel like your dough is getting a bit dry, add a little more milk.

Mix all together.
Bake at medium heat for 30-40 min. Test with a wooden stick if the bread is good. There should be no dough sticking to the stick anymore (but don't be confused by melted banana).
